Math Talks @GSSI

The math area at GSSI organizes a biweekly Mathematics Colloquia seminar series, which usually take place every second Thursday. The purpose of the Colloquia is to expose the students to a range of active research topics within each GSSI research area and at their intersection.

For more information about current and past Mathematics Colloquia, please see the webpage Math Colloquia. Colloquia recordings may be  found here.

A list of recent courses held at GSSI, either by our faculty members or by leading researchers visiting us, can be found at the webpage Math Courses.

PhD @GSSI

Applications for the PhD program at GSSI open every year in March with several open positions in all the four areas. The Math PhD program at GSSI consists of four years with qualifying exams to be taken during the first year. By the beginning of the second year students select a research project under the supervision of one (or more) of the mathematicians affiliated to GSSI.

We refer to the official page for details about

Postdoc @GSSI
We welcome postdoctoral applications from early-career researchers in our four areas of expertise: Applied Partial Differential Equations, Probability and Statistical Mechanics, Numerical methods and Continuum Mechanics modelling. If you are interested in doing a postdoc with us, you may check out the Home and the Announcements pages on the GSSI webpage for open calls for postdoctoral positions and/or contact us.

New calls for postdoctoral students open every year in February-March. Additional fellowships funded by special grants are also possible through the year.
